I’ve never been a fan of bags. I can usually go anywhere without it, especially when I’m going somewhere near. But when going to malls, schools and other places, there is only one type of bag I always have, a messenger bag. I realized that when you’re going somewhere and you’ll never know where pickpockets may be, it’s always good to have a bag that is hard to pull away from your body ( in that case, if someone snatches your bag, you’ll go with your bag). I have a shoulder bag once, but I found out that’s it’s a hassle if you’re going to get your wallet. Not so safe.
But here is the rundown of pros and cons of the most popular bag types. Either to safety, fashion, and quality, you got it.
Hobo bag- It’s great when it comes in style, since prints are usually used. It’s soggy appearance can be brought to school, and as a shopping bag. It just hangs on your side and you’ll never notice that someone is cutting through your bag.
Messenger bag ( Sling bag for size small)- I really like this cause it can some in denim, print, or even handcrafted. it can be placed in front of you (who the heck would steal something in front of you). It just tends to twist at some times and can be placed on your shoulders only too. It’s what i bring to school.
Satchel - It’s like a hand bag you only hold in you hand, since the straps are small. It’s uber cute to tell you the truth. It is what usually seen in parks when walking with a sundress, or to some date in a cafe.
Tote bag - It’s what you often see, since it’s easier to find. The style varies, and it has a wide range of selection. It’s mostly open, so be careful with that fact.
Wristlet ( Clutch if it has no strap) - It’s what you see in the red carpet, with stars in their dresses. This is for formal occasion mostly. since a clutch has no strap, it’s kind of an easy target since you’re just holding it, and a wristlet can slip through your hand too.
Knap sack or Back pack - a knap sack (I guess) is the one with the string to close it, and a back pack, well, self explanatory. Both placed at the back (der!!) and can be used if you’re bringing a lot of things. This is usually found in schools, in hallways where the embarrassing fate when your backpack tears and spits out all of your things.
Duffle bag - Like the ones the athletes use. I love this when I’m going to my Auntie’s house, since I bring a lot of clothes and a huge hair dyer. I also want this one for school, when you’re asked by the teacher to bring a whole bookstore with you the next day.
The bottom line is, be considerate with the type of cloth or material the bag has, it’s use for you at some event, and matches your taste since you can choose on them. Bags are like your house, and I’m like one of the many girls who liked cramming on what to place on their bags in such occasions. Bags are the place where you keep your valuables when your traveling, so keep an eye on them, and don’t keep a lose strap with you.
